Third film in the Maruhi series. Focuses on the life of Buddhist nuns during the Edo Period. This is the first film to feature Junko Fuji in a leading role. From director Sadao Nakajima who directed The Kyoto Connection and Girl Boss: Escape from Reform School but also became one of the leading directors of Chanbara (Samurai Cinema) and Yakuza films in Japan.
