Description

After the 1983 Def Leppard album, Pyromania, original cover painting by Bernard Gudynas. The slick AOR production, catchy hooks, and strong songwriting from this New Wave of British Heavy Metal band took five working class lads from Birmingham, UK into the bedrooms of millions of American teens, but Michael Jackson’s chart juggernaut Thriller insured that Pyromania would be the highest selling record to never hit #1. The explosion on the cover is now metaphor for a band that endured incredible tragedy in the years that followed.

Exhibited at Indy MOCA in 2014, Houston Museum of Drawing (June-December 2016),Art Shanghai (November 2017). Featured in Flaunt Magazine. Ships rolled.
