Description

Features the opening line from Black Sabbath’s seminal protest anthem, War Pigs, lyrics by Terence Michael Joseph “Geezer” Butler, from the 1970 album Paranoid. The lettering is the same utilized on their follow-up LP, Masters of Reality, revealing a reproduction of Flemish Renaissance painter, Pieter Brughel (The Elder)’s Le Triomphe de la Mort, beneath it. A reversed image of Bruegel’s masterpiece appeared on the cover of the band’s first single LP compilation, 1977’s Black Sabbath Greatest Hits.
