Fantastic and relatively straight-forward Teruo Ishii film that foreshadows his Female Yakuza Tale by a year via a superb showcase for Eiko Nakamura and Bunta Sagawara –both of whom would feature prominently in Kinji Fukasaku‘s Yakuza Papers. The true highlight here, though is Reiko Ike in a supporting role that proved she could hold her own against the biggest talents in the Japanese film industry.
