Alaska Sohne was born and raised in a Korean household in the north part of Texas and graduated from Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration. That same year she won the NY Society of Illustrators’ student scholarship competition, exhibited at the Ralph Pucci Showroom L.A., and participated in the New Berlin Collective’s fromLA2BRLN Anthology. This past year, Alaska’s “Oh Dear Romeo” painting (available below) was published in VOOM Magazine, and some of her performance work has gone viral to 2.5 Million views.
Alaska has exhibited in the Dallas Art Studio, Mystery Box in Los Angeles, and MoCCA in New York. This is her first feature exhibition at Gallery 30 South.
