1930 printing of the first American Edition (Houghton Mifflin) of one of the most controversial books of all-time. Written by Adolph Hitler in the early years of his rise to power which resulted in the deaths of over one-hundred million people and one of the most heinous genocides in human history.
It is said that people who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and so this first-person biography is an important (albeit disturbing) statement of philosophy and a cautionary tale of demagoguery used for sinister forces. In an age where Nazis are back in the news, and a European dictator is once again invading Eastern Europe, this is an unfortunately timely artifact of the darkest era mankind has ever known –if not a harbinger of atrocities to come.
Early English-language editions of Mein Kampf are becoming increasingly difficult to find. This is priced very affordably.
