The Furyo Bancho series (aka Delinquent Boss) was Toei’s most successful, longest-running bosozoku film series. It lasted from 1968 till 1972 through sixteen films. Wolf Escort was the fourth film in the series. Its success helped to spawn the Delinquent Girl Boss series, starring Reiko Oshida, which in turn served as the soft template for the Sukeban films that followed. Bunta Sagawara would take roles in several Pinky Violence films and eventually take the lead in Kinji Fukasaku‘s Battles Without Honor. Miyoko Akaza co-starred in Lady Snowblood with Meiko Kaji and enjoys a successful career today on Tokai TV.
