After the 2001 Jimmy Eat World album of the same name, original cover photograph, “Memphis,” by William Eggleston. Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American is the Sgt. Pepper of American Emo. It yielded 4 singles, and several of the deep tracks have since found their way to alternative rock radio programming. Released in late July, the album was recalled and released simply as Jimmy Eat World following the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington D.C.
