12 Oct Graham Moore: Destination Stereo
November 2023
The clean, simple lines of mid-century modern design and the cool sounds of west coast jazz and Bossa Nova! Blue Note and minimalist record cover artworks of the 1950’s – 60’s. The Abstract Classicists with their Hard-Edge painting style using bold lines, organic shapes, and textures. Vintage fashion style and photography and classic cars. Pop Art, Constructivism & Suprematism. These are just a few of the ingredients that inspire a Graham Moore collage.
Graham studied at the Wimbledon School of Art and then the East Ham College of Technology (the school that launched the careers of Gerald Scarfe, Ralph Steadman, and Alexander McQueen) eventually landing an instructor gig at Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design. His work can be found in several museum and private collections, and he continues to teach and work in the community outreach programs with non-professional artists and students from at-risk environments.
